Truly Exceptional Results from Emma!
Emma offers different styles of brows, depending on style required, skin type etc. Details of each are listed below.
Microblading is a form of permanent make up that creates natural looking eyebrows with a handheld microblade. It originated from Asia over 20 years ago, also known as eyebrow embroidery, feather touch and micro strokes.
A type of eyebrow tattooing, but unlike traditional tattooing that uses a machine, microblade technicians apply each hair stroke with a handheld microblade. This creates very fine lines that when the pigment is implanted resembles hair. It is perfect for those who have over plucked, have patchy brows & want more definition and no longer want to keep applying brow make up!
And it is not just the ladies that get to experience the magic of microblading- Emma has many male clients that come to her if they also suffer alopecia or just looking for that slight boost in their appearance.
So great news, no machine. And a natural look. Already sounds way more advanced than traditional permanent make up methods which is why it has become so popular.
And why wouldn’t it be? In Emma’s steady and experienced hands, microblading can cover sparse eyebrows or scars and can be used for those suffering baldness or chemotherapy. It also just saves time doing make up and let’s face it, who has any spare time in today’s hectic modern society?!
However, there are many other reasons for this treatment, and it is not always suitable for everyone so the alternative of a powder brow may be more suited to some people, which will be discussed at the consultation with Emma.
POWDER BROWS / Ombre Brows
Powder brows, also known as ombre brows or ombre powder brows, is a slightly newer semi-permanent brow technique that creates a soft, powdered look that subtly fills in your brow.
Powder brows is great for people who already have full brows but just want a little extra definition without the hassle of filling in the brows every day. It’s also the preferred technique for people with oily skin, as it typically lasts much longer than microblading.
Whereas microblading uses a handheld tool to create natural hair strokes throughout the brows to fill in any gaps you may have powder brows uses a digital machine, which allows soft pixels of colour to be layered onto the brows to create the perfect shape, which results in more of a soft eyebrow powder look and sometimes take a little bit longer than microblading.
It’s your call, your choice, your brows.
Whichever technique you choose, the results will be incredibly natural and effective.
As above but mixing bot styles of Micro blading and Powder together to give a softer more natural look.
Microblading is now becoming a popular treatment not just for women but also men. Emma has had experience of doing various male clients, particularly suffering with Alopecia when all or partial hair loss has happened with amazing results.
Mens microblading is a skill that is not taken likely and in particular can be a nerving experience. At the consultation Emma will go over everything with you to discuss the results, show you examples and even do a quick pre draw so you can get an idea of what can be achieved as a completely different style is needed for men to achieve a more natural look.
So now you have decided on either the microblading or the powder brow (exciting!), this is what happens next. Really easy, simple and pain free…with an amazing set of brows at the end of it.
Emma meets everyone at her warm, welcoming home so you can see her working surroundings for a free consultation and have required patch test for the Topical Anaesthetic Creams and pigment. She will then discuss the process and check what results you are looking to achieve.
Both microblading & powder brow are a two-part procedure, dependent on your own personal pigment retention. Your brows will be mapped out to your face for shape and symmetry. An outline of the brows will then be drawn on the face for you to get an idea of how the brows will look shape wise and then the procedure begins, but not until you are 100% happy with the shape. In total your first appointment will be from 2 to 2.5 hours.
Your second appointment or top up is 4-6 weeks after your initial treatment and this is where final adjustments are made and making sure they are perfected. Dependent on your skin type, beauty regime and lifestyle will determine how long they last, but a general rule is 1 to 2 years before a touch up appointment is needed.
And it is as easy as that! So, if you want to refresh and enhance your natural beauty, the eyebrows will most definitely do that so give our Emma a call now.
Permanent Make-up Removal / Correction
If you are not being happy with the colour and shape of a permanent makeup procedure, Emma is an help correct both colour and shape for most clients. In most cases a session of Saline Removal is needed to lighten the area. In some instances more than one session may be needed however this can be discuss on a case by case basis.
How it works.
After years of having pigment implanted in to the skin, the skin gets to a level where it is too saturated and often to achieve better results Salt & Saline is used to remove some of the pigment so you can go back to a blank canvas. Some people may want the work removing completely or lightening to help start again.
We needle the skin with a Microneedle to open the skin, implant Saline to extract the pigment and then allow it to heal. On healing the pigment is lifted and the area lightens. This is a pain free procedure but you do need time for the area to heal of 6-8 weeks.
Not all Permanent makeup needs to be removed. A session of colour correction may be suitable. Depending on the colour and the saturation of the pigment in the skin. Again this can be discussed with Emma on a case by case basis.
